PIOCCI (www.piocci.org) is registered as a national society since October 6, 2003 in India, with a full-time secretariat in Delhi that overseas all activities in India and coordinates with PIOCCI International operations. PIOCCI serves as a global business networking platform for the Indian diaspora, promoting economic engagement with India (union and states) as well amongst the Diaspora. The Indian Diaspora, estimated at nearly 40 million, is highly educated, affluent, influential and spread across 200 countries. They excel in knowledge, medicine & technology, trade, manufacturing, tourism & hospitality, and pioneers in research and development. Beyond the emotional and cultural connect, India’s growing financial prowess and progressive policies lure the Diaspora to invest across sectors, increase trade with India and engage Diaspora youth with the youth in India.

PIOCCI’s expanding reach worldwide is strengthened through registered entities in select geographies and informal chapters in 50 other countries. We have spawned chapters such as PIOCCI USA, PIOCCI Canada, PIOCCI Limited in Dubai, PIOCCI Malaysia and PIOCCI Australia, PIOCCI Latvia, and are in the process of creating formal chapters in Latin America & Caribbean, Africa and Europe. Each organisation has its team that serves the region. Many diaspora organizations in the world are primarily national or local in their geographies, without a strong foothold in India. PIOCCI also operates chapters in many states of India who work with powerful state industry bodies and state governments. Internationally, we cooperate and work with national chambers of countries. Whilst selective with our membership, yet PIOCCI is open to all business and professional persons of Indian origin, as well as amongst the Diaspora non-Indian origin persons and entities that either work with India and/or have an eye on India.

PIOCCI has organised and conducted a special event at each Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) since 2015, on the eve of PBD at the PBD venue, with the participation of Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers, MPs, business leaders from India and the Diaspora. PIOCCI has been working closely with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of External Affairs.

We are privileged to be supported and encouraged in our endeavours by Shri Piyush Goyal, Honourable Minister of Commerce and Industry. Importantly, the Honourable Minister launched 'PIO Investor Help Desk' on 10th January 2020 partnering PIOCCI and Invest India to promote investment and exports. We have since conducted and facilitated several virtual and physical events with the Honourable Minister, DPIIT Secretary and Invest India and Secretary MEAOverseas Indian Affairs. Recent events include - meeting of Honourable Minister with PIOCCI in Canada, DPIIT / Invest India presentations and interactions along the sidelines of Honourable Prime Minister of India's to Australia and USA. We have also participated in Investor Summits in states and at the national level in India, and have MoUs with states - Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh

PIOCCI fosters collaboration and networking opportunities among people of Indian origin and businesses. With a diverse membership base, including entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and professionals from various sectors, PIOCCI strives to enhance trade relations, facilitate investments, advocate and influence policies. Our professionals connect members and partners with potential business partners, generate leads, and provide customised professional services. PIOCCI helps expand the network, find new clients, and navigate the global market. We wish to bridge the demand from Diaspora and overseas with the supply from India of both investment opportunities and exports. We are committed to work with export promotion councils, chambers of commerce, think tanks, government institutions and several public and private enterprises. We have signed MoUs and enjoy a good working relationships with NSDC, SEPC, ESC, Invest India, Start-Up India and others.
